Bugungu Forest Reserve In Murchison Falls: Bugungu Wildlife Reserve is a small wildlife reserve conserving a grassland and seasonal wetland at the base of the Rift Valley Escarpment to the western side of Murchison Falls National Park.
Bugungu Wildlife Reserve occupying 473 square kilometres protects a several wild animals including over 1200 Oribi heads, 600 Uganda Kobs plus a considerable populace of buffalo, leopard, hippopotamuses, warthog, dik-dik, Sitatunga, reed-buck, bush buck, water-buck, baboons plus the black and white Colobus monkeys among others.
By approximation, there are over 240 species of birds recorded in the area comprising of the Shoebill stork, Abyssinian ground horn bill plus saddle billed stork.
Bugungu Airstrip is an airport serving the Bugungu Wildlife Reserve in the Murchison Falls National Park in Uganda.
