The Kabwoya Wildlife Reserve is a reserve in Uganda, a hidden treasure found within the Albertine Rift Valley in western Uganda, at approximately 300 kilometers from Kampala City. It was gazetted into a Reserve in 2002, making it one of the new Protected Areas in Uganda and occupies an area of 225 square kilometers (87 square miles) of the scenic plains nestled between the Bunyoro Escarpment. This Conservation Area is also part of the spectacular Albertine Rift, a region which has numerous attractions stretching from Mgahinga Gorilla National Park in south-western Uganda to the Murchison Falls National Park in north-western Uganda.
